JULIAN TONG

I am an editorial photographer and videographer who shoots in multiple genres. I was born and raised in Hong Kong and Taipei, and I grew up speaking English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. As a teenager, my first job was working weekends in a local e-commerce photography studio, photographing bags and shoes. It was from that point onwards that I fell in love with image making - the technique, composition and mastery of what creates a great photo and encouraged me to get involved with the industry further. I studied Photography as an undergraduate at Leeds Arts University, before moving to Manchester for a year, finding pleasure so far in my independent work, and in assisting various photographers for Editorial, Live Event, Fashion and Commercial assignments. I thrive on being part of creative teamwork & collaboration, and I aim to show purpose and value through my choices of imagery.
